WE-FAS Thermal & EMI Absorbers

Würth WE-FAS Thermal & EMI Absorbers
The Würth WE-FAS range is a flexible absorber material supplied in 300mm x 300mm sheets, composed of a silicone polymer combined with magnetic metal powder and ceramics.
The material is finished with removable PE and PET protective films on each face, ready for converting into application-specific parts.
We stock and convert the WE-FAS range across three standard thicknesses to suit a variety of design envelopes:
-
39410 – 1.0mm thick
-
39420 – 2.0mm thick
-
39430 – 3.0mm thick
-
All three variants share the same composition and electrical characteristics, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +160°C, and are RoHS and REACh compliant
Typical applications
The WE-FAS Thermal & EMI absorber sheets are commonly converted for use in:
-
Thermal interface pads between heat-generating components and heatsinks or chassis
-
EMI absorber parts placed inside electronic enclosures, near cables, or over PCB hotspots
-
Shielding gaskets and inserts for telecoms, industrial electronics, and consumer device assemblies
-
Combined thermal and EMI management parts where a single converted component can serve both functions

How we convert the WE-Fas Thermal & EMI range
Because the WE-FAS Thermal EMI material is supplied in sheet form, we convert it using our die-cutting presses and CNC-knife table. This allows us to produce:
-
Die-cut pads, gaskets, and shielding inserts in defined repeatable shapes
-
CNC-knife cut profiles for prototype quantities, larger parts, or shapes that suit digital cutting
-
Parts with internal cut-outs, locating holes, and bespoke outlines to fit your enclosure or PCB layout
-
Mixed-thickness kits, drawing on all three variants where a single application needs more than one part profile
We can cut most shapes required for electronic enclosures, heat-generating components, and shielding applications, working from your drawings, samples, or CAD files.
Benefits of Our Converted Parts
-
Ready-to-fit components – delivered as finished parts rather than raw sheets, reducing handling and assembly time on your line
-
Protective liners retained – the PE and PET films are kept in place during conversion to keep the working faces clean until point of use
-
Flexible quantities – die-cutting suits higher-volume repeat work, while our CNC-knife table is well suited to prototypes, short runs, and larger formats
-
Three thicknesses from one source – design flexibility across 1.0mm, 2.0mm, and 3.0mm without changing supplier
-
UK-based converting – cut, packed, and dispatched from our facility, with drawings reviewed by our team before production
